Overview

Turbo-compressors, steam turbines and their speed-increasing gear units usually have an independent lube oil system whose pumps must deliver smoothly 24 hours a day. A three-screw pump delivers almost pulsation-free flow with low noise and vibration, which is why it is a common main pump for such systems.

GL-S pumps can serve as the main and standby pumps of an LOS lube oil system, or be supplied on their own.

  • Virtually no pulsation

    Drive and idler screws mesh continuously and the chambers advance axially at constant speed — steady outlet pressure and less pipe vibration.

  • High speed, low noise

    Idler screws carry no drive torque, wear is low, and the pump can couple directly to a two-pole motor.

  • Compact for its flow

    Smaller and lighter than a gear pump of the same flow, simplifying lube system layout.

  • Long life

    Hardened screws and replaceable liners for critical equipment running 24/7.
